Academic Services

Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President

In January of 2011, the Provost initiated the consolidation of business and information technology services from 26 academic non-college departments into two offices:
  • Academic Affairs Business Services
  • Provost Information Techology Office
The goal of centralization was to capitalize on shared expertise and to provide departments with a more consistent delivery of services, data, and reporting.

Currently, Academic Affairs Business Services (AABS) and the Provost Information Technology Office (PITO) serves over 40+ non-college departments.

Also under Academic Services are Enterprise Information Systems (EIS), Open Access Labs (OAL) and Data and Research Services (DARS).  These units serve the university community with classroom technology support and installation, student data systems support, student data analysis and reporting.
